Erica watched Lorin deliver a presentation at a safeguarding conference almost 10 years ago and has followed the charity ever since. So, joining the team as CEO in January 2024 was an incredibly proud and exciting moment.
Erica has almost 20 years of experience in safeguarding, starting her career as a Police Officer with Sussex Police in 2006. Realising prevention was more her forte, Erica left the police to join the Probation Service, working with adult offenders and later moving into youth offender management with East Sussex County Council. After a few more years in the public sector, the charity sector came calling and Erica began managing missing children services with Catch22 before moving over to Missing People charity to set up and lead their missing from home services across the UK, most notably the first Pan Sussex service commissioned by Sussex Police and all three Sussex local authorities. Erica decided to move away from front-line delivery and service management to more strategic organisational development roles, as Head of Delivery & Development at the UK-wide sport for development charity, Sported, and most recently as Chief Operating Officer at MindOut LGBTQ+ Mental Health Service.

They are responsible for executing day-to-day operations, collaborating closely with senior management to achieve organisational goals, and delivering impactful programs and services to support our mission of empowering young people.
Each employee brings unique skills, expertise, and passion to their role, contributing to the collective effort of fostering a safer and more inclusive online environment for youth. While entrusted with specific responsibilities, they work collaboratively to uphold the values of the Breck Foundation, adhere to legal regulations, and ensure alignment with our overarching goal of enabling young individuals to navigate the digital landscape confidently and responsibly.

I have been with Breck Foundation since July 2023, working on the administration side dealing with bookings for our speakers, website enquiries and overseeing the general admin for the charity. I have always been a big fan of gaming and have a daughter who has a big love of gaming too, so Breck Foundation has always been a resource I used when it came to her safety online, and to be a part of that now and helping educate young people how to keep safe online is a big plus for me. In my downtime, I love to game, am a big football fan and enjoy going to music gigs as much as I possibly can.

Education Programme Coordinator
I am the Education Programme Coordinator at Breck Foundation and I lead the delivery of our education programme in schools. I have been with the Breck Foundation since August 2022 and love to help educate and empower. Before Breck Foundation I was a full-time teacher working both in the UK and abroad. I have also previously been a Computing/ICT teaching lead which helped me understand the ever-evolving landscape of the digital world and really understand the need for online safety education within schools. Outside of work I enjoy reading non-fiction books, completing a good arrowword or watching too much reality TV.

Project Manager
I am the Project Manager at Breck Foundation and I oversee some of the longer-term projects that we deliver such as RISE e2e, Game Over and Breck Ambassadors. My journey with BF started in October 2023 and it has been an honour to be involved with such an incredible charity. I have spent the last 8 years working with children and young people in a variety of contexts; within schools, Local Authorities, Youth Centres, and custodial settings. I'm passionate about supporting our young people, and the Breck Foundation's work is powerful and lifesaving; the online world is only getting bigger!
During my free time, I enjoy reading fantasy novels, spending time with my doggy Zeena, going to the gym and snowboarding; when I have the time to visit a mountain!

Sabrina Garcia brings a vibrant blend of creativity and digital expertise to her role at The Breck Foundation. Originally from the city of Miami, Florida, Sabrina began her career journey in the dynamic world of radio, where she specialised in social media management, videography, and digital content production. Her passion for engaging audiences led her to a position as Marketing Coordinator at the Miami Seaquarium, where she crafted compelling digital narratives while enjoying the company of marine life. In 2023, Sabrina made the leap across the pond to the UK, starting a new chapter in the third sector. A dedicated gamer with a love for titles like Fortnite, Minecraft and Hogwarts Legacy, Sabrina saw an opportunity in the Breck Foundation to merge her passion for gaming with her commitment to online safety and wellbeing.

Following my graduation in Accountancy, I started my career within the corporate sector. Taking on many challenging finance-based roles. Eventually moving on to work for school finances. I made a career move to step into the charity sector in 2021, joining Breck Foundation, part time in June 2023. The driving force and passion behind the running of Breck Foundation makes me feel content in knowing, I am now exactly where I needed to be!
